Pink Harp Watercolour

One year at the Edinburgh International Harp Festival I saw some gloriously coloured instruments offered by Pilgrim Harps.   The bright colour of the harps was the inspiration for this stylised watercolour image.

The clarsach (Scottish Gaelic clàrsach) is Scotland’s oldest national instrument.  It has been played throughout the land from the very earliest times. Long before the arrival of the bagpipe, it was the mainstay of Gaelic courtly music.
