How can friendship best be defined?
It’s born in the heart and lives on in the mind.
It’s as old as the hills and as young as the Spring,
It’s the warmth of the Summer that makes your heart sing.
It’s the help that’s given without being asked.
It’s another two hands to lighten your task.
It’s a door ever open when shelter’s required.
It’s a smile and a hug and the warmth of a fire.
It’s someone who’ll live in your heart evermore,
In a bright sunlit corner — your happiness store
